Alone by James Riley Lewicki

Alone by James Riley Lewicki captures the mood of a dark time in his life by showcasing indoor images relying only on an overcast natural light. Shot on an Olympus OM10 and Kodak Gold 400, the graininess of the shots add to the melancholy feel of his photos.

Of this photo, James says: “A lover of mine was left alone by others who loved them. When I arrived three months later, I discovered that they had let all the plants die, yet refused to throw them out. Draw from that what you will”

When asked to caption this image, James replied: “When you leave me alone in this old place of yours, I start opening doors”

“In the fall, once you’d left me bedridden, I was looked upon by paper and vinyl”
