Through Yonder Window: Playing with Light by Quinn Milton

By taking a scroll through photographer Quinn Milton’s Instagram feed, her focus on capturing high-contrast indoor scenes that make heavy use of shadows and reflections becomes evident fairly quickly.

Two more things that become immediately apparent from a glance at Milton’s feed is her understated sense of style and her love of cats. In one of her Instagram photo captions, she jokes that she’s “basically just a glorified cat photographer”. But don’t let the self-deprecating sense of humour fool you: Milton has some serious talent. Not only that, but she appears to have mastered the art of using one space to create a variety of diverse images. Although much of her feed features repeating motifs like windows, curtains, plants, and her feline friends, Milton’s content doesn’t get stale.
